Many of the windows we offer have Miami-Dade ratings. This is the most comprehensive testing in the industry. This testing involves the window(s) to perform without failure under "CAT-5" hurricane winds, as well as impact resistance to be able to withstand a 2 x 4 piece of lumber getting fired from a gun and hitting the window at a speed over200 ft per second. When the window meets the test and does not fail it will earn a "impact rating". As you can tell that this also means that it would be virtually impenetrable by would be thieves.
